Convert to the GM 60 degree v6
Drop in engines with no or slight alterations give you the power to merge into traffic with ease and get down the drag strip or race track. Forget the Honda Civics. They aren't an issue. The only issue is wiping the grin off your face with stumped look the person in the other lane has having lost to a 50 year old car. And while everyone else is stopping for fuel at the gas station, your able to go further then your v8 conversion friends.
Not only have you spent the least amount of time/money getting your sports car converted, the average GM 60 degree is neck and neck at lower speeds when compared to the heavier Ford 302 conversions and at higher speeds almost as fast (and by fast we mean close in a drag strip). And depending on the v6 choice, even faster then the same 302 engine of the same generation. Taking the fun further, if you desire more power for the 60 degree engine there are plenty of easy to do upgrades. The exhaust note is excellent, and depending on muffler choice can be as loud or quiet as you desire.
